Project Description: Grupo Cativeiro Capoeira – Jamaica realized a total of 14 hours Capoeira training for 40 teenagers from different sections of the Lyndhurst/Greewich Park community ages 12-18 during the summer camp. Capoeira has been taught as a non traditional form of conflict management and the students have been encouraged to utilize the learnt techniques and strategies in their daily lives. During the final presentation Capoeira students from other communities joined the show playing Capoeira and interacting with the participants of the Summer Camp.
